The reinforced shoulders are a godsend when I'm hauling a heavy pack up a steep ridge—no more worrying about wear marks after just a season. Rain and wind just bounce off this thing, and I stayed completely dry through a full day of sleet. It's my go-to shell now, no question.

Took this up a 6000m peak in a storm and the shoulder reinforcements really held up against my pack straps rubbing all day. Completely dry underneath despite hours of sleet.

The three-layer membrane kept me bone-dry through a solid downpour on a ridge traverse, and the shoulder reinforcements gave me confidence when the pack straps were loaded. Only gripe is the hood could sit a touch higher, but it cinched down fine when the wind picked up.
