First time I’ve had a boot that feels this dialed-in right out of the box — the cuff and tongue hugged my ankle without a single hot spot on a rocky descent. The balance between stiffness for edging and enough flex for scrambling is exactly what I hoped for.

The Gore-Tex lining kept my feet completely dry during a wet scramble over loose rock, and the heel hold is surprisingly snug for a boot this stiff. Broke them in faster than I expected—only needed one long day hike before they felt like they were molded to my feet.
