Wore these for a muddy 15-miler and the pockets actually held my gels without bouncing. The built-in waistband never dug in, even when I tightened it for the descents. Genuinely forgot I was wearing them by mile ten.

Took these on a 20-mile trail run and the multiple pockets swallowed four gels plus my keys without any bouncing. The built-in waistband stays put even when the pockets are loaded, which is more than I can say for my old pair. Genuinely forgot I was wearing them by mile ten.

The waistband pockets actually hold four gels without bouncing, which I didn't expect from shorts this light. Wore them for a hilly 15-miler and forgot I had them on.
