The aggressive lugs dug into loose gravel and mud without slipping once on my first trail run. My feet felt secure and supported even on uneven, technical sections I usually avoid. Definitely the grippiest shoes I've worn for steep terrain.

The FriXion rubber really sticks to wet rock, which gave me confidence on a steep descent I usually dread. Fit adapts nicely around the midfoot too, so no slipping inside on technical ground.
