I was worried about sweaty feet on a long hike, but the silk material breathes so well that they stayed dry and comfortable all day. The grip on the sole is subtle but really locks my foot in place inside the shoe.

These feel almost weightless on my feet, and the ultra-fine silk really does let you feel the ground beneath you. The grip is solid enough that I didn't slide around once during a long hike, which is impressive for something this minimal.

I was skeptical about silk socks for hiking, but the foot grip really does keep my feet stable inside my boots. The only downside is they're a bit delicate—I already snagged one on a rough trail.
