The walk-mode mechanism clicks into place so positively, it made switching from skinning to descents feel seamless. I never had to fight with the buckles even with gloves on.

Took these on a three-day traverse and was shocked how light they felt on the skin track—the walk mode actually clicks over smooth and quiet. They still carved confidently on the way down, which is exactly what I needed for mixed terrain.

I was worried about losing downhill power in a lightweight touring boot, but these hold an edge beautifully on the descent. The walk mode lever clicks in and out with a satisfying snap, and my feet feel way less tired after a full day of climbing.
