I took these out for a quick skimo race and was surprised how well the cuss held up on the icy traverse—no chatter at all. The bio-based shell is stiff enough for control but still feels forgiving on longer climbs.

The carbon reinforcement in the shell makes these boots feel really responsive when I'm kicking steps on steep skin tracks. They locked in nicely for the descent too, which surprised me for a boot this light.

I was worried about the weight, but these boots are impressively light on the uphill while still feeling solid on the descent. The bio-based shell material seems really durable for the low temps we've been hitting.
